Christchurch and a plan

Bye bye Wellington, South Iceland hello!

The departure from Wellington was really nice again. Steve threw a BBQ for us in the Burg, with lots of Sausages. Carrie and I have the Tuesday spent afternoon with baking, Carrie has a Jamaican Marble-Cake-with-tartan fabricated (if there in the supermarket such great food colors now admits!) And I have made with surprising success of a large pile of muffins - although I have reduced at the beginning of the baking action with a unique typical Steph-Move our egg supply by half.
The evening is run very nice, with lots of food, some drink, the bubbles ausm 2Dollar Shop play and talk one last time in peace with the people.

are Wednesday night Caroline and I well in Christchurch arrived - less than one hour flight, there is hardly out of the start / increase out before going down again.
For the next few days we live in "women travel house" - that is also in English out as though by NER is Kiwi. Carrie has "decided" that there must hinmuss with me so that I have seen this pink room sometimes. And it really is all very pink. But on the whole been a cool hostel. The main house is so ne "Villa" as the American upper middle class in all the films seems to have (thinking in the direction of Home Alone) with large heavy door, wide corridor with a huge staircase to the top, left and right Room with bay windows and fireplaces (in which, however, are only a fan heater with a false fire) and kitchen with rear back doors to the garden, as mans expected. In the garden, several small bungalows, the office, lots of greenery with Garden Chairs and 2 free-range guinea pigs. Quite cool overall. Currently, it is still mostly empty (but when guests are here, are German or Asian), which is already a very different mood than the party always full house World Wide Backpackers.
a great service I think of course the huge DVD collection that's in the hostel. Over 100 DVDs which can all be on loan for free, you just have to say in the office know and gets his wish over last. We have exploited the same time of course and watched it already 3 1 / 2 movies on the first two evenings, but today a few more to come.

Christchurch is nice in itself, especially the core around the Cathedral Square, but really I love the city yet - but good, has also taken time for Wellington so long. Unusually flat, it's definitely a direct comparison. The tourist-bigger program for the city is now scheduled for the weekend. Have the last 2 days sleep with extensive, Reorienting switch back to the traveling life, and above all spent planning.

A plan that we have a plan for the South Island! Therefore, more detailed itinerary half, one crosswise around the island - but that's still more Plan as I ever really had on this trip. Were yesterday at the Visitor Centre and have let us know extensively. The girl there was very nice and made us painted with many explanations and tips the most common and most practical route.
We now first a few days unsure of Christchurch, then up one or 2 day trip to the north, only to Hanmer Springs to Kaikoura and then maybe. Then, we go down to the south, to Dunedin, trip to Mount Cook, to Invercargill and Bluff (just to be quite been down), look at the fjords, Milford Sound, and then chug slowly up the west coast again. (In acute shortage of money we will have to stop somewhere for a few days / weeks inlay-Stop)
had Actually, we first considered to start the circle in the other direction, but the Infomaedel has declared that it, people usually send first in the South, simply because there is colder and there for the people is nice to finish off the sun and beach areas Nelson and Abel Tasman to have.
So we probably stay warm attracted another one. :)

However here in Christchurch already full of the spring is broken. Bright sunshine, no cold wind like everything's coming up in Wellington and the bushes and shrubs. Very nice arrive. Now I finally know how good it smells like spring. Today it was loose on the 23Grad, we could finally look at the lighter clothes from the very bottom of the bag / the Backpack and get relaxed stroll through the city.
The Art Centre College in the former is extremely cool, just by the buildings here, has reminded me of Yale. Then we were still in the Botanic Garden - everything is blooming and sprouting and the sun shines only pretending. Great. Thank Christ Church, but a very successful greeting on the South Island. 'm Curious how that still goes on.
