The simple life

We are back on Thai mainland. Last week we were still on Koh Samui, but after the football games and decided the rest of the island did not really like to, so it was by catamaran to Ko Tao. After two hours of relaxed Ride, we arrived at the pier of the smallest of the three islands of the Thai Gulf. The first impression of the island was still not particularly impressive, as the island suffers under but large garbage problems. After we had only the abnormal echauffiert taxi prices, it quickly became clear that these were justified. Since we wanted a more secluded bay, so it was across the island, by four-wheel jeep. The road conditions are absolutely miserable, however, almost nothing is paved, huge elevation changes and the water-eroded ruts. After half an hour drive for four miles, but that was all irrelevant, because the bay was incredible! Radiant Blue Water, surrounded by fine sand and countless palm trees in the background and lots of rocks. Picturesque is an understatement, and so we set it quickly to organize a bungalow that had to have a remarkable view. Equipped with a bed, fan, mosquito net and a little cold shower, we were happier than ever. But in addition to its fantastic appearance, the beach had another advantage: snorkeling and diving.
After only fifteen meters one comes to the first coral and if you do not break at high tide the water is, as we did on the first day, it also has very good visibility and lots of fun. We were then each day at least once a snorkel and discovered numerous Fish and coral species. Dined at the resort was a hotel restaurant, which offered numerous variations of Thai cuisine and a nice place for the evening was. They were also very amusing, because the bay was seized by the Germans. Mostly we spent the evening but with the proper Mekong whiskey, and the younger generation, the kind of get a even just a doctorate in physics. was
Oh yes, and some animals also again. On the one gecko in all sizes, the rumkrakelten some pretty loud in front of him would be, but still welcome guests in the bungalow were, because they destroyed the whole insect. Snakes were seen more frequent uninvited and had therefore be transported with a targeted blow behind the head to the afterlife. However, lost his only one in the bungalow. Another Matthi it started in the restroom of the restaurant with two ladles, for enjoyment of all spectators. Overall, there were then three or four days, but all of them harmless and perhaps forty inches long. There were also sharks, but only in the neighboring bay. Nevertheless, we are twice swum over, and it was worth it. The first time it had probably twenty of these fascinating animals, but these are more than 1.50 m tall, but were still able to generate Hai-feeling. The second time there were fewer, but the adrenaline rush is incredible, but unfortunately, the critters too fast to handle them, but maybe that was a good thing. Made
we have not all too much to explore except the water to lie on the beach or just enjoy the scenery. After a few days but then you knew all the other guests (same season) very well, but it was quite boring and slow. Since we had decided against a diving license, there was no further reason to stay longer for us. It then went back up this terrible road and onto the ship that brought us today to Chumphon. Here however, we will only make a night trip, because the city is rather dirty and has little to offer. Therefore, it is tomorrow then by train after Phetchaburi, Bangkok before we will take to the chest. Let's keep the pictures speak ...

Percent Iron In Fe2o3

Islands

Our first week Thailand has survived, even if we now have become both victims of the travel diarrhea. We are, as mentioned last week, arrived at the epicenter of tourism in Patong Beach, but the whole thing to us was already hanging out after three days of the neck. Therefore, we went by Taxi to the nearby Phuket Town, which by encouraging less red light, also knew how to please. While driving through Thailand's largest island, we saw quite well the amazing landscapes we had imagined. Lush green rain forests, which covered the ever-shining hill ridges, surrounded by the blue ocean. We searched the beach but even there not, for the reasons known. But our room was pretty centrally located and include air conditioning. The next day we went to the first adventure, by bus to the Khao Sok National Park, the bus ran off and relax, but we always just stuck to the windows so many new impressions delivered. Along the Road we saw more the first "real" Thai settlements and their poverty, and fifteen miles, that next luxury tourist resort.
reached some point we then our National Park and came out of the bottleneck is no longer out. Huge sandstone cliffs, surrounded by rain forest, whose tops were already swallowed the white side, a sight almost an affectation. But our mouths quickly folded back, tried for about ten locals, synchronous, convince us that their Währe Bungalow is the best choice for us. We decided to use the Smiley's bungalow, in addition to a warm shower, with heavenly views to three meters attracted. So we therefore based our hammocks and let it all hang out, with an overview of the whole, fantastic valley. We went to eat in the hotel's restaurant, which won culinary typical local dishes. As the rain continued our hike through the woods was impossible, unfortunately, we used the next day to relax, looking over the internet, for even this tiny town in the mountains had several Internet cafes. The next day seemed to stay dry and so we went into the jungle. He was really tropical this time, countless noise, its origin could be estimated only vaguely fabulous plants that are found in Germany maximum in miniature knows and to the hellish climate. After several waterfalls, we stopped for a break in a natural pool in which we cooled down a little bit. There we met a German who like us and before that in Australia was now read and finish his journey. The way back we were denied and then to third unfortunately caught in the monsoon rains. Completely soaked, we arrived at some point return to civilization, this time unfortunately without significant contact with animals, because except for a cheeky few lizards, we had the fauna unfortunately hidden. This will populate even tigers and wild elephants the area. We spent the evening then also to third, and exchanged our previous experiences of the two countries from. After this wonderful experience it was then by minibus to the next destination, Surat Thani. The mini bus driver, however, made the whole adventure was dear to us as. As has been overhauled, although there was no room, held back when we were almost flat, and just such jokes that you could turn only through meticulous bear watching to the side. We spotted in the undergrowth of the forest, and our first wild elephants. The city itself was always just a quick stop, for there we bought our ferry tickets, so that real aim was Ko Samui. That we reached two hours later after dark. It is the largest island of an archipelago on the eastern coast of Thailand. Since the eighties, although quite touristy, it still attracts many people, with fantastic coastal and vibrating nightlife. We wanted to return to budget bungalows, but what we had was there to witness, even for our modest demands too much. It starts with the fact that the modern wooden beams were all loaded with mold and it goes on to say that the roof had holes in which to all appearances, live rats, because that is their feces were spread beautifully over the bed. Rounded off by flickering lights and a bathroom that this designation is no longer worthy Andre Lüders would have liked it. The trick of the matter is the following, namely the descending just three € was cheaper than our current hotel room (which even includes air conditioning). The room we got even at the discounted price because we get along so well with the Canadian owners.
After this first shock, we went shopping, what's going pretty well. So one can save diesel bags, Gucci shoes Armanisonnenbrillen or "unbeatable" prices, but we were somewhere else find. In addition to a pair of flip-flops, we provided both of us Thai fisherman pants, the rage and incredibly comfortable. After that, we also found our first McDonald's and tried things like "Samurai Pork Burger "from. You round off the evening in an Irish bar and then listened to a Euro-Asian cover band. On the second evening, the choice was between one of the biggest parties in the world and football, the Moonlight party on the neighboring island of Ko Pha-Ngan, seemed to us but just a huge pile of tourists, cross depart to trance music, so Champions League! Armed with a cold beer and delicious rice wine, we watched from 1:30 to close by 5 clock in the morning the miserable game between Liverpool and Chelsea, I hope today's match will be better is to stay awake to be worth it. Otherwise, we wanted to go jet skiing, but for now it is raining for several hours a day, which made visits to the beach less than ideal, but we still have some time. Earlier we have at least made a little walk on the beach and checked once the water temperature, wind chill 30 ° C in about. Otherwise, we now eagerly counter the kick off and the days on to the next island überschippern to dive possibly. A good week to you all!

Clear Mucus Before Menstruation

farewell

Here we go again, with a really interesting week behind us. Things have evolved differently than planned again, so stay tuned.
We actually wanted to travel from Mildura to Sydney, there to sell patches. Let's put it this way, patches is no longer with us that not because we have sold him in Sydney. Our mobile home community that is started after about fifty kilometers to overheat again. Came from oil, cooked the engine and everything pointed out that the cylinder heads for a second time had given up the ghost. So we stopped at a car was kindly organized a tow truck. Back poorer in Mildura and $ 200, the factory town but had no time to take our turn on the same day and so we camped our last night in a car in the courtyard of the mechanics, including flow of a neighboring pensioner whose pity we gave. There we made plans, we should go there now, could we cut off our Australia-wide warranty, anyway. We had wanted to see the fine print, which we had friendly then that one would have to get all 5000 kilometers control checks, if you are not entitled to the reimbursement lose. As a new cost $ 2000 repairs, and not excessively time expected would have probably only a third alternative was an option, execution.
presented the next morning it turned out, however, that the cylinder heads were not broken, no, this time was the entire lower side of the engine moved to nirvana, diagnosis: Total irreparable damage. The friendly mechanic asked then to have to take the car for exorbitant 200 beeping, because the tire and because, after not wreck, and could still make some money with the metal. We reluctantly consented, and began to evacuate the car empty. Patches is more likely to carry no more backpacker in the madness and hopefully had a painful death. All his flaws are totally hung namely from the neck out, you could even say that we would be a huge burden fell off my shoulders. It sounds cynical, but this car was a constant mental stress, but one must not forget that it was one of the reasons why the last few months to deliver such fantastic.
loaded with three backpacks, a laptop, each with a case of beer and cola, what constitutes a perceived weight of at least two tons of tried, we bus tickets to be found. It worked quickly and as we sat a few hours later in our seats, with 17 hour bus ride into view. However, for the passed fairly quickly and on top of old memories came up, as we Canberra or Griffith stopped.
at 10 clock in the morning we reached the capital of backpacking, however, was in our then hostels raise no more bed and we made way to a neighboring. In Sydney we did then a few things, like buying a new Lonely Planets for Thailand, or sending a package, with all the stuff that would bother us now as backpackers only. This stuff then weighed 8 kilos, however impressive, which is incidentally the exact amount Matthi has declined in Australia as a line in the landscape.
The next day we closed our accounts and the dollar remained changed our already Baht. In between, we visited the historic District of The Rocks and its endwöchentlichen market.
The morning breakfast the next day, was then interrupted by our shuttle bus driver, who apparently knew the clock, but was rushed in the large class.
Since we always had at the airport for several hours, we decided for one last Australian beer to tilt and take leave of a continent that was the last eight months our home. Here is the promised Conclusion:
Australia is fantastic, especially its unique nature. Whether it's snorkeling in the coral reefs now that walks through the national parks, watching the incredible animals or enjoy the simple a sunset is, these things made this trip unique, but also the incredibly friendly people who have a great service to this. Culturally, the country due to its history, yet not too much to offer, but outweighs the positive impression and the unique. This journey has brought us not only linguistically, it has broadened our horizons and made us quite a bit more mature. It was an experience that we would put any young people to the heart.
But this is still not over, we have two months before Thailand, another new experience, our first contact with Asian culture. But before we could even enter Thai soil, we had to fly and a whole lot, almost ten hours.
The flight with Jetstar, the low cost airline Qantas was, enjoyable and relaxing as we had done so prior to the food package, we could only Korean beef and dine as a second course meat pies, beer was for a reason. Luggage arrived at this time in one piece and so we received at the airport aufschwatzen a cheap hotel, for about 5.50 € for the night. After haggling with the taxi drivers we were shortly after 10 clock in the evening, our first accommodations, including air conditioning and private bath. The former is particularly well from absolute necessities, because the temperatures are well over 30 °, dotted with a humidity of at least 200%. Since this time we had suffered no jet lag, so it was straight to the bars. Whiskey and beer for one euro, as well as leave little room for maneuver. Phuket is very touristy, however, which fill the evening streets with interesting people. Since prostitutes were en masse, to recruit in all imaginable variations, seeking some very neat customers. Those are white tourists from all over the world who really enjoy the party life down here completely. In between, over, most young locals who put a monkey or iguana on his head, to give you pictures of it to palm. After the fifth bar, and the twentieth meeting with a prostitute, the long blond hair apparently quite find attractive, but then gave it to us and we decided against five clock in the morning to seek safe hotel bed (without accompaniment). Today we got some new SIM card and therefore get back to phone, phone costs are a joke anyway. Actually, all prices are a joke, 1.5 l water for 30 cents, taxi rides over 40 km for seven and Wiener Cordon Bleu € including a drink at the restaurant for five euros. Otherwise, we are now just a bit strolled through the markets, much more, however, was not in there because the heat of a really crushed. Overall, the first impression is ever promising. It smells as though and after manure and cable contractors Incredibly, it has its charm. We are equal to massage (for five €) to go and then try to consult it again a couple of local drinks. Phuket, we will leave but then the day after tomorrow to the east, where we will watch a National Park before it will go to the paradise island of Koh Samui.
